Some good stuff guys, The dreaded drought has also forced me to start growing my own.My hydro is all set up ready to go , i am being supplied a cutting from a reputable grower so no seed start for me, i dont really know the guy all that well so i am a tad unsure whether to pick his brains for growing tips hence the reason i have turned to these forums.

i am gonna strt the plant on 18/6 light cycle : how long do i keep this cycle up.
i will only feed fresh water for about a week before adding half the reccomended dosage of nutes which are Aqua Flakes A
i was going to add the remaining dosage of nutes after about a week and then slowly introduce those over a few days.
i have read that the pump should be put on a timer aswell as the light if so what would you reccomend as far as watering intervals go and would i need to eventually put the pump on 24/7.
can u give me any advice on pruning as i want my plant to bush out rather than reach for the sky.
if i can get my weed to the flowering stage without any major setbacks i will be well pleased so i will leave all the rest of my burning questions till then. many thanks guys hope you can help this noobie:thumbsup:

Hi hudson,

Here's how the main plants look now shit load of leaves died after i took the clones must of infected the plants they did look a lot worse than this slight recovery since i took the clones.Switched to 12/12 on monday and put bloom in the res leaves looking like they have slight nute burn so will add some fresh water to dilute whats in there.only put them in flower to see how they go probably die but i am a newbie lol.The clones are 11 days old today eight look good 2 are dead i think will take a couple of pics in a bit for you so check back later.(AND FUCK BOLTON)

Floyd, with the lamps your using have you seen an increase in your electric bill?
I'm tempted to start growing my own but am on a electric meter and was wondering how badly it chews your electric?

Hi clairey,

Yeah i have an air pump and water pump running with that light as well.
it's about 1.50 a day extra quite steep really but with a decent grow and you will easy cover the cost of the electric and the equipment you buy to start with. from second grow all profit.
