Hmm.... You shoudn't have actually build a "wall". A good solution would be to just to put a wood frame beetween the two lamps.

Thatâ??s a good idea, I was going to put a plywood "wall" but it would be much easier to just build a frame. I already have this really great thick white plastic that i got from a grow store. and I think I will also take the ballasts out of the room (keep the heat down) I just need to get some extension cords

For the T5 bulbs, I was using all 4 on and it worked out well but next time I will try one or two bulbs on at first.
