there is one simple key to storing your weed for months and months without harm: Silica gel

yes, those little packets you get inside boxes. Keep them. Buy an air tight jar like a mason jar or a thermos. Put the weed in with 1 or 2 packs of silica gel (or go to a craft store.. they use it for dehydrating flowers and preserving foods). It will completely dehydrate the weed over night. Keep the packs in there at all times. Your weed will last longer than you'll ever keep it.

The only downside to dehydration is that evaporating water molecules are what carry scent. Once you dehydrate it, it looses most of its smell (unless you rehydrate).

A mistake people make (including myself once) is putting it in an airtight container while it still contains moisture. This is basically creating a bacterial haven.. water and stale air. If you do this, your weed WILL mold in a few weeks.

Not very much this second time--I think I caught it early enough. Not nearly as strong smelling as it was before though. Bummer, it was so sticky and yummy. Anyways, it was so moist when I got it, I tried putting it in an 'airtight' jar and it still molded. This time I tried just zip lock, and the same happened but I caught it early.
