That plant is sexually mature. That's why the nodes are alternating.
Only young immature plants are symmetrical.

stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . mutant plant! wot did i do wrong??? ok heres how it goes, my plants grew up to about 17cm with sunlight i then switched to flourescents and re-potted them, nothing to drastic rite? one of the plants carried on fine, the other however has mutated, i hav attached pics and pointed out where the mutations are, (on the stem) as my photography skills rank next to that of a possum, im pretty sure its nothing to worry about but now it has kept mutating in the same way everytime a new junction grows, i want to know IF and HOW i can revert Rating: 5
