Guns don't kill people...the bullets do but seriously as with anything especially firearms responsibility is paramount. There shouldn't ever be a round in the chamber and safety off unless you are going to shoot. Thats is unfortunate about your friend though...that was not deserved.

Guns are what stands between at least a facade of a representative government, and a dictatorship.

Guns are very useful tools that just need alot more responsibility and common sense than other things.

guns are the ultimate in home protection if you aren't a total dumbass, and thats what they'll be in the future for me. as for my car, just an aluminum baseball bat will suit me fine

I am sorry about your classmate but I believe it was a case of death by MTV. Teenagers think they're gangsta rappers and play like they're living in an Xbox world.

I grew up surrounded by guns as did most of the people I know. Everyone knew how to use them, how to be responsible with them, and I've never known anyone involved in an accidental shooting.

If the Police and Military are willing to surrender their guns also I would be for gun control. Until then it's one of our responsibilities as citizens and is one of the factors that distinguishes a citizen from a subject.
