    check out this light from lowes...

    hey was wondering if this light that can be bought at my local hardware store, would serve any positive purpose in the vegtable garden??
    currently using many, many cfl's..

    check out this light from lowes...

    I saw those Regent brand HPS lights at my local hardware store, they have a relatively low lumen rating, I think around 7000 lumens for that specific light. It's not a terrible light, but for $80 you might as well save for a really nice HPS that can turn out the six figure lumens. You're also better off energy wise sticking with the numerous CFLs or saving for one massive light.

    check out this light from lowes...

    The 3 pack of cool CFL's at Wal Mart for $5 will give you more lumens than that. I'm not convinced that it's the proper light for growing either. Don't buy unless you know for sure.
