I suppose for the same reason we had to create NAFTA (not an endorsement BTW). If you're wealthy and have no markets how long do you stay wealthy? If we're in decline, then somewhere in the next 20 years they won't have a market.

But I was just looking forward to a decent retirement gig, where all I had to do was put stuff together... and plan my pee breaks better.

You have a point since China bought the rights to MG, they plan on manufacturing the bits in China and shipping them to England for assembly so I suppose there may be some hope.:thumbsup:

England on the otherhand has it's historic places of interest to attract the American tourists who want to see real castles and of course they could always sell America a few more bridges they have stacks of em, wouldn't miss a few
