That may be true but if you have other females it will seed them also. Not only will it seed them (no sinsemilla ) but any seeds produced from the ordeal will carry the trait as well. So if you plan on keeping the plant in hopes of using the seeds it generates than you are taking your chances with future crops.

If you only have one or two females and don??t care if it??s sensi or not than keep the plant. If not than he had better kill it or isolate it (and isolate it good.) :twocents:

I decided to remove the hermie, everday signs of male flowers were popping. i do not want to compromise my other girls- i did put the hermie in a pot, how far away should i keep this plant from the others to keep any pollination from happenig or would i be wise to destroy the hermie?

best thing. hope u didn't leave it too long before removing them. ensure you clean your room thoroughly next time you begin... an oscilating fan can cause pollen to be spread round the room

It??s harder to isolate a plant outside. Wind can carry pollen for miles. It??s a bit like saying, ??I have a hand full of fine dust, where can I stand so that if I release tiny bits of it all day long it won??t find my other plants.? You could also get it on your hands while your tending to it and transfer it that way. You could try things like placing it down wind of your other plants (winds change direction) or possibly at a higher elevation. Still though?think dust in the wind.

    Good luck

likemclever- you are right - i need to go ahead and destroy hermie- i have not grown in 20 years and only have a few plants this round- it has been difficult to accept that I have to destroy a plant I started indoors so that i would have a female only harvest- the seeds I started with were bag seeds, $400 a bag- I got the smoke from the same person Willie Nelson gets his- I would say that the seed came from a hermie in the first place. the person i purchased bag from was very surprised that there were seeds in it

Hey man trust me I??m not expert I??ve actually only grown one plant but I do read quite a bit and am happy to pass along anything I think I can contribute. If I??m ever wrong about information I pass on I would hope that someone would set the facts strait (and knowing this crowd they would.)

I feel your pain on destroying that plant but in the end I think you??ll be happy that you did. Don??t knock bag seed I frequently keep seeds out of bags that I like. I mean after all you already know your going to like it. I would also say you??re probably right about that plant being the offspring of a hermi to begin with.

Good luck with your flowers
