    Pre-Grow Materials, suggestions?

Hey all, I've been looking around for a while and just getting my things together on a list and soon to go out and buy them. I've got a few questions but first I'll present what i've got so far

    Cabinet: Wood storage cab, 66" H x 30" W x 15" D

Lights (Veg) Still not sure whether to go for MH or CFL's for vegging, I have the option to go with a MH I think I am going to go with it.

(Flower) A 150W HPS with a reflective lighting fixture that I found in the garage (Pretty sure it'll work).

As for soil, I might just go with FoxFarm unless anyone suggests a better, easier soil to work with.

With a cabinet, I'll pickup a 8$ Louver from Lowes and 2-3 computer fans, along with an oscilating medium sized fan.

As for the strain, not sure yet but definetly either a hybrid like NL or a short, fat Indica.

That about sums it up, Im open to any suggestions, I'm cab growing to hide it from others in the house but for the most part my parents don't care so there wont be a need for a carbon filter. Thanks.

You can probably get away with the CFL's for veg just fine since you are only using a 150w HPS. You can also use some CFL lighting to accommodate the HPS in the event that you want to increase lumen output. What are you using for reflective material? Those emergency blankets from Wally Mart are miler, but they only cost a few bucks for a pack and 2 packs will cover your cab just fine.
Duck tape is a must have when ever putting together a cab, I have found along with a good screw driver and a good razor. Oh yes, for those doors you will need some weather stripping to light seal the cab.
    Well, hope this helps some.

With the CFL's I would go with 4 42 cool white, 6500k. You can use them threw veg and depending on your temps you might be able to keep them on during flower with HPS. Believe it or not that little 150 will put out some heat, so before you get 2 or 3 computer fans you might just want to pick up a 280CFM Squirrel cage fan for $90 or so. Also, you are going to need that light very close to those plants or they are going to strech, the 150W doesn't penatrate very fardown into the plant, try to keep it under 12 in if at all possible with the heat. Think about a home made cool tube, look it up in the FAQ. I can't remember if you can use one on a 150. This will give you the best performance from it though.

I picked up my lights today, 400w HPS and a 250w MH . Came out to be about 50$ but I think it's worth it.
