Usedchemicals is right. That's almost universal state workers' compensation policy to do a routine drug test on claims. It's just purely a liability safety net that protects employers in case there's any serious indication of fault in the injury (and especially if there's future litigation) and keeps the workers' comp group from having to pay money they don't have to pay.

So sorry that happened to you. How many sutures did you get?
birdgirl73 Reviewed by birdgirl73 on . Cut myself at work.. Hey guys, about 2 hours ago I slashed my finger open really bad at work (i'm a cook). Well, my boss is a really nice lady who i've worked with for years, and she's like "You better file for workmans comp, I don't want you having to pay for the stitches.".. Well, first of all, If I do file for workmans comp they'll piss test me won't they? I just went, got the two stitches and payed the $120 Deductable. It kind of sucks losing that amount of money, but I don't want to file for comp because Rating: 5
