    My friend's Blood Test

    Hey,
My friend's been an everyday weed smoker for a while now, and he does ciggies too, but no other drug. Anyway, his parents know that he's dealt and smoked weed and shit for a while, so they're trying to find out if he's honestly quit like he told them he has by giving him 2 months to go clean. He's getting a blood test in 1 month now I think he said it was, and wants to get it out of his system as fast as he can. Are there any methods to pass a blood test for drugs?

just tell him to stay clean for the next month and it should come back negative... but i've never heard of blood test for drug testing.... maybe his doctor told his parents he needs a blood test and they're just using it as a method to scare him off weed?

piss test is the easiest way of testing for weed....blood test test for alot of other, harder drugs, tell him to stay clean for at least 2 weeks and he should be fine

Looks like a dupe of this thread has been moved to the medical area, but this is the thread that has the only responses, so I'll do mine here. If you don't find it here later, though, check the medical area.

Blood testing is a perfectly legitimate way to screen for cannabis, and I'm guessing your friend's parents may well ask for an entire drug screen with that blood test instead of just a cannabis screen. It's easy enough for the lab to check for everything while they have the sample. If he's already laid off weed for one month and has another month before the test, I'm sure he'll be fine. Hair samples tend to reflect cannabis use for much longer (up to a year--but they only take the most recent three months' growth for the hair sample, generally) than blood or urine.

Give your friend this link so he can read about various testing methods and results--and what the timesframes for positive results are. Look for the drug testing link at the bottom of the page. This is a good site that everyone ought to have bookmarked. Full of good, unbiased info.

Maybe his parents are just trying to scare him, but he told me they've threatened him with this for a while now, and they busted him smoking bong only a week ago, so he thinks they're seriously gonna get a blood test taken on him for drugs.
Why a blood test though, that's what I'm wondering.
Should my friend worry about it, or just keep smoking?

Well, speaking from the parental point of view, if he's a minor child whom his parents support, if they don't want him smoking, he continues to smoke in the coming weeks, and if they do take him to a lab to have the drug test in a month, he will definitely test positive.

If he's made up his mind to do what he prefers/smoke anyway and has made his peace with the withdrawal of whatever privileges his parents take away once that positive test comes back, I wouldn't say he has to worry.

But if I'd felt strongly enough to test my son for drugs after making the you-must-stop edict and he'd gone against us, he'd be risking the loss of car, other-than-essential financial support including cancelled car insurance, computer, cell phone and related DSL/cell subscriptions. Possibly also several favorite shoes and outfits. I mean he'd lose all of them, not just one or two. Maybe his parents aren't serious about the edicts they lay down, but if they are, this'll likely be a serious infraction.

    Thanks for the input.

What I'm really trying to find though, is ways to get around blood tests for drugs and pass. Are there any tested methods people have tried that've come back successful?

There probably are ways, but I'm betting they're not very reliable. Visit that Erowid site above and look at what it says there, then do a Google search on various anti-drug screen products and see what they say about results with blood screening. I'm betting that's a very tough test to beat.

urine is easy, blood i doubt you can fake, thus why it would be considered as a last resort i'm still confused why they're doing a blood test... and if they're taking him for a tox screen at an actual buisness that specializes in such things, well i hope they got the money to cover it....

if i remember right, it cost my wife's job around 700 to do a complete screen (but that also included things like xanax, valium, vicodin, ect ect..)
