Absolute newb looking to start a few indoor plants..
Hi everyone, so I've decided to take the step of starting to grow some plants of my own for a bit of a hobby
Bit of background info..
I live in Australia (Sydney area.. if it matters), in a 1 bedroom unit.
I would prefer the plants be grown inside my wardrobe, which has a good empty area inside it (About 1 metre wide x 1/2 metre deep x 1.5 metre high.. maybe a bit more or less, not sure).. I'm also open to suggestions of growing somewhere in my bedroom or something, but this probably isn't the best idea in case I get a surprise visit from family or something lol
Now I've never grown before, and have absolutely no idea where to start.
Now onto the questions
- Is the above area large enough to grow multiple plants?
- (I bet you guys love hearing this one lol) What are some good strains to look into? I know this is probably an annoying question, but I don't have a huge amount of knowledge on different strains, but the main things that I want in my plants are;
- Quality/potency! I want some nice herb to smoke, a good high that doesn't put me to sleep
- Must yield a decent amount of bud.. I have no idea how much a normal plant yields, so I don't know what else to say on this one
- Mustn't take forever to start budding.. I have patience, but if it's going to take more than a few months to reap the rewards I will most likely lose interest
- Easy to obtain! I haven't a clue about where to look for seeds, so I don't want to be even further owned by being told to track down a rare plant that only grows in some exotic location on the horizon
- Must be fairly easy to maintain! I'm prepared to put alot of effort into this but since I am new to it I don't want something that's going to be difficult for a beginner to start on
- Quality/potency! I want some nice herb to smoke, a good high that doesn't put me to sleep
- Setup - what kind of equipment will I need for this? And how much will it cost? Also where can I look to purchase such equipment?
Okay I think that's it for now, if anyone can help me out or even just give me a link to a guide that would suit me it would be much appreciated!

Oops made a bit of a mistake with the size of my wardrobe..
I actually have 2 areas inside it, divided by an unremovable panel.. each side is about 1/2metre x 1/2metre x ~2metre high.

first go get some decent sized pots and potting mix and get ya hands on some fluros, search site and you will find what sort you need, then go down to newtown and just start asking people where to get some seeds, every body is smoking that shit there.... shouldnt take too long.. i also think cannabis has been abused in parts of australia and if your looking fors some decent shit then you should veiw the plants the seeds came off to give you an idear on what you may end up with, or try to get some cuttings of a mature plant is another way..
I VUNT THE BUD AT ANY COSTA

your quote here.
"Mustn't take forever to start budding.. I have patience, but if it's going to take more than a few months to reap the rewards I will most likely lose interest "
the process can take 5-9 months total time of growing, drying, and curing so if you have np patience dont bother growing it.

lol hahah thats jokes. Dude, i am on the my 3rd day of grow and i am also a newb, and trust me, i have patience cuz i know its gonna be another 4 months to go. so just like he said, no patience stop now. You have a lot of questions and i am not the best person to answer some, but comming from a newbs perspective here: i used 2 types of strains which are said to be the begineeers choice; satori and durga mata. First i germinated 5 seeds and planted them 3 days ago as for trial and error. I am using 400 watt HPS lamps which are not the best to use from the get go some say, but i can only purchase one lamp. As far as knowing where to get all this i dont know cuz u live in the land down under, however canada is the greatest country to almost grow chronic and since we have hydroponic stores and seeds banks in my local areas i had no problem. As far as cost go's i think its up to you, u can comprimise and figure out the quality u want and invest in so. And yeah another thing bud, i think u should get a grow bible ( i like greb greens grow bible) and put a month or two into studying and reaserching, cuz i put a good 5 cuz i dont wanna be asking these folks the most obvious questions before i even start..... good luck man and stay safe.....
