The current state of hip hop

This thread is a load of bullshit. All of the songs that you say arent lyrically deep arent because they arent meant to be. Most songs you are mentioning are club songs. Meant for dancing and having fun in the clubs. You listen to the right rap for lyrics, and there are genius rappers. I assume, and i know i should not be doing this, but i assume that none of you go to clubs, so you are just ignorant. And that is not your fault.

Glue's new album dropped the other day.

Catch as Catch Can. I've heard it and it's... alright. But hey, if you have turntables and need some good beats for a cheap price, the second part to the cd is just instrumental. So head to the only store in your town that sells underground and pick it up.

I look at the lack of talent in todays rap as an advantage for me. If all these guys who have zero talent are making millions how hard could it be for me. But I hear you, 90% of the rap I listen to came out at least 5 years ago.

I'm not into much of the new hip-hop these days. I follow Jedi Mind Tricks, and some Immortal Technique, but other than that. I don't care much for it.

I like some old school hiphop, like Cypress Hill back in the Black Sunday and Temples of Boom era, that was some prime shit.

Old school House of Pain. Their debut album Fine Malt Lyrics is amazing.

Funkboobiest "Brothas Doobie", with Super Hoes on there

Old Ice Cube, like Predator, or Lethal Injection.

Like I said, JMT is the only newish hip-hop I follow. I don't even care much for Dilated Peoples anymore.
