The current state of hip hop
Finally, people that agree with me on this issue! I can't stand hip-hop nowadays. No talent thugs who write simplistic raps about the thug life or fucking chiks or some other dumb shit, with paid off producers who create the actual "music".
Sampling is by far my favorite part of hip-hop, and lately the only person who has impressed me lately in that aspect is Kanye West.
The Dilated Peoples, RJD2, Jurassic 5, and The Beatnuts are the way to go.
And the Alchemist. You raise up your head
And you ask, \"Is this where it is?\"
And somebody points to you and says
\"It\'s his\"
And you say, \"What\'s mine?\"
And somebody else says, \"Well what is?\"
And you say, \"Oh my God
Am I here all alone?\"

poetry slam? Unfamiliar?
ADeeM's cool but way underground. He has a group called Glue, their second cd is coming out soon. The first was seconds away, and it'll blow you away. I don't think the new one's gonna be so good though.
If there's only one place in your town that sells underground records you probably won't find him, but look around. I got the cd on amazon for 15 bucks. If you download music, there you go.
RJD2 gives me shivers. It's all about Ghostwriter.

Immortal Technique has been one of my favourites ever since I heard "dance with the devil" back a few years.
I'm so baked right now I actually ment to say "slam-poetry" not "poetry-slam". If you've ever heard clips of the "Def Poetry Jam" it's a lot like that, well basically is. Slam is just a certian way of reading really meaningful poems and shit.

Did you just click a random thread and decide to start asking questions?
Well, your answer IMO is that ..I can't see it clear enough. I don't think so though.

im sorry, but bone thugs n harmony have no lyrical content, theyre rhymes are simple and their lyrics arent deep, they just have weird voices which i guess people like, but in my opinion bone thugs bone suck, and to the person who said underground rap is good: in my original post i did mention i listen to underground rap, in fact its what inspired me to write this, i love underground rap, in my opinion underground rap is the most genious music out there, my favorite artists are aesop rock(genius), atmosphere, mf doom, del the funky homosapien(crazy), and some others, my fav underground song right now is prob off the wutang "think differently music" its a collab with aesop and del, called "preservation"
