Can I get a dealers perspective? How fucked did I get?

Now as everyone knows dealers deal to make money and smoke, (or to smoke and make money :thumbsup: ) whichever is higher in your priorities. Well ive been smoking for awhile now but i dont deal, and when i do its just to friends and not for profit, just a hookup you know. Well as my income went up so did the amount of weed that i would buy. I was just about to start buying QP's from a friend of mine from high school (who ive known for about 4 years and played soccer with) but i was already wanting some weed just to smoke so i thought i would hit him up for an HO first. This person lives about an hour away so its a decent drive to get there. Anyways we call him and he says he has it, so we head out.

When we get there he hasnt actually started getting it yet, and goes out to get it. (keep in mind this person is a dealer, and is not new to this by any means) He tells me that hes going to need the money first which normally id never do but it was a friend so i figured no big deal. He tells us to " DO what we do" and that he will call us when he finds it. Seeing as we made no other plans we just sat by a lake on a futon that we picked up for the driver of this vehicle and sat on it in the truck bed and smoked and bs'd for about 45 minutes and then he calls. We meet him back there and he pulls out the bag. From the first second that he pulled out the bag his faced changed and he looked at me and he knew taht i knew this bag was just redicuously scimp. We brought our zong out to smoke him out for getting this for us. So i get in the truck and tell him im just putting the zong together and what not. But i popped the bag on the scale (WITH THE WEED STILL IN THE BAG) and it weighed to 6.9 so minus the 1.37 grams for the bag, and thats right i just got a 5.6g HO.... The person tells me its hard ass hell for him to find weed and thats the best he could do. Which maybe almost might of worked if he didnt lie to me and tell me he already had it before we drove an hour to go get it.

So my question is for the dealers...Have you EVER scimped a friend that much without saying anything until you hand them the bag? And what should i do about this? Do i have a good reason to be pissed off? HO's that weigh out to atleast 13.2 go for about $160 street cost where im from. but i mean ive gotten hooked up 1/8's that were fatter then this HO. All i know is half that shit was smoked before we made it back home...:rasta: which now sucks...anyways some adivce would be tiight.

And please i dont need to be told "WOW MAN THAT WAS SURE DUMB OF YOU" cause i already know i got screwed.

from a second stand point, I was the one who orginally talked to the "friend" and he assured us he had it before we drove an hour one way to get it. He always tells me how he would hook me and garrett up (jibnasty..we are roommates). Even though it wasen't my money, I am extremely pissed cause it was our friend. and i was so stoked I wrapped my zong all up and got it all ready so we cuold smoke the hell out of him...

i would have just givin him a little more than you would have for a h/o if its not a full bag you should have been like hey look it not in full so knock off some of the price , but i have gotten a little amount and payed for it just cause i had noother means of getting it at that point , but if he does this regularly call him out on it

if ur gonna deal ur providing a service, its the same if you got a shop, u expect to pay for what you get. I'm from the UK but an 8th is 3.5grams, 1/4 7grams, Half ounce is 14 grams and an ounce is 28 grams. These are the exact measurements. I used to work in a bakery and people would buy an ounce of yeast which admittedly was only 30pence, but u would get 28g for 30p as thats an ounce. So when i pick up and its from a dealer i do not know i weigh in front of him and if its under even by 0.1 grams i will say, this means that next time i go to pick up ill get 3.5grams and not any less because i wont buy it if its under and so they know it had better be a proper 8th. I used to deal and it is a service and if i buy shit weed in or theres a drought and i can only get a little in i will still buy that little in at the normal price, maybe a little higher but nothing much but ill still sell an 8th at 3.5grams etc etc. You would go into a shop and buy a shitty t-shirt with holes in it for 50 pounds so why wud i or anyone buy shitty weed for probly more than that. You just have to say im not gonna buy that and say you want it exact or nothing and if they say theyre not gna sell it at 3.5 say ok then and then tell all ur mates and anyone you know that smokes weed to not pick up of them. In the end it's illegal and dealers can be pricks when it comes to selling weed as they wanna make money and you can make more money by pleasing your customers with good measurements as theyll tell theyre mates. I sold weed around my area and ended up selling to nearly everyone in my area and i know that 2 dealers went bust cos of it and i ended up buying their weed. It's the same as any business. Don't pick up shit weed from a dealer as theyll just keep giving you shit deals cos theyll no they can get away with it. Just confront them about it, or grow your own, at least you know what your getting then.

5.6 grams isn't even a quarter. you paid for a half oz? i'd say you got dicked hard. a half is 14 grams, so when you're buying 13.2 gram half ounces, you aren't really buying a half oz. this isn't 'nam, there are rules.

Sorry, never had that experience. My dealer (well, former dealer, don't need him for that anymore) is someone I've known for like 17 years, and there's no way he'd ever do that. He's been short before, but he always admits it right up front, before anyone pops out a scale, and doesn't ask for a half ounce worth of money unless you ARE getting a half ounce. He's the most honest dealer ever, which is why he's been in business so long; his customers always get what they pay for.

Shit, that's not a trivial ripoff you took there. That dude owes you either more than half your money back, or more pot, that's just all there is to it. I'd tell him that flat-out: "Dude, 6 grams isn't even close to 14 grams, so you owe me 8/14 of $160, or you owe me 8 or 9 more grams of pot."

Is he an idiot? That's how you get a bad name, or get your ass kicked bad. He ain't much of a friend if he'd do that.

They will stay your friend a whole lot longer if you never give them the opportunity to dick you.And upping the cash before you had weed in hand is putting temptation in their grasp.

I've learned that you DONT trust anyone who says they 'have it' then has to go get it once you meet them. Know why? Cause they know you will come out and have your money, and once you find out they don't have it, and need the money first, since your ready to get your weed, you're more likely to hand them the cash, but instead you should tell them to fuckoff, seriously, just say "Fuck that dude, you said you had it, no deal man, no deal. I don't deal with that joker bullshit, bye"

Yeah you might be desperate, but its NOT fucking worth it. Trust me, I got fucked over big time, just be glad you got SOME weed...cause I didn't, atleast now I know better.
