Having a "lovers fling"

Well anyway has anyone ever fell into the trap? Sometimes called a summer fling. A sort lived but life changing or mindblowing love affair. During the summer of 04' I was working at a local Albertson's a job that my friend had gotten me working in the meat department. Well one of these days our boss was like I'm hiring a girl back here... Little did I know that it would change my life and my goals forever.

I remember when she showed up and I saw her for the first time. She was smokin'. I was kinda shy at first but she started talking to me, Found out some stuff, She's going to Baylor U, Found out about her past..Fresh off a split up. Asked if I had a GF the day I met her. It was crazy I got SUCKED in! A hot girl has never done this to me before keep in mind.

We got to the point were I'd go over to her parents house, Were we'd watch movies and shit like that, Her parents I found out were FILTHY rich! A spiral staircase right when you walk in the door. I was blown away, It was happen all to fast. We mostly watched movies and shit, She would hold my hand and lean really close to me resting her head on my shoulder. We go to her room and I mean it's COVERED with photos of this guy her so called ex-boyfriend. See the problem was that she was still IN LOVE with her ex-boyfriend that lives all the way in PA, They still talk, She still would take his phone calls when I was over. Over the course of a mouth after going to the movies and stuff. I ask her to come over to my house, Where I got the hot tub fired up and everything. Long story sort we kiss for the first time and I touch her for the first time. All went well, She goes home around 1:00am and I get a call. "I shouldn't of kissed u... I led you on..."

So the end of the summer comes and it's time for SCHOOL. I give her a huge and kiss goodbye before she jumps into her car drives away down to Waco, Tx. Home of the Baylor Bears. We keep in touch for a while and I had the bright idea to go down there and see her. Well I go down there and let me tell you it WASN'T the SAME! She wanted it to be FRIENDs and FRIENDS only. We kinda get in a fight/not so fun night, Make it a long story sort she screens my calls and blocks my aim username and weeds me out of her life. Havent talked to her since. She's prolly getting banged by all the Baylor guys anyways. I guess I should of enjoyed the moment and knew I wasn't gonna last. Know that I look back I kinda blame my heavy marijuana and beer useage on her. At the time it felt like a hole was in my chest, I have never been IN LOVE with a girl since. Sure I've had girlfriends and differnet girls but I didn't give me that same feeling that the Baylor girl gave me. To this day I still think about her, Not all the time but something.

Most of my relationships are flings. I had my very short-lived (probably best) relationship this summer, that was amazing as it was happening but ended badly because well..we were both still in love with our ex's. Only problem is, he dumped me for his and it's literally impossible for me to get back with mine . It's shitty though, I'm noticing the older I get the more flings people are having. I think they don't work out because they're almost always after a bad or meaningful breakup and those fling-people tend to be expected not to last, they're those inbetween people.
