A few questions, possibly taking half a pound cross country. I know the odds of something bad happening are about 1 in 50,000, but still, for piece of minds sake... If you're not traveling particularly close to national borders, do any highway cops even carry dogs?

Past that, let's say you do get pulled over speeding by a trooper with a dog. I've read enough posts to believe there is no way to completely dogproof your stash with household items. But if triple bagged/taped/sunk in liquid, the dog would have to be practically on top of it with his nose to detect, no?

Regarding probable cause, I know a dog alert will provide one, but would the copper need a probable cause to take his dog out of the cruiser and check things out? Or are they simply allowed to drag their beasts around wherever they feel like?

I know I could simply grow a bigger pair of balls and just throw the shit in my backpack and leave, but I always freak out when I think about worst-case shit.
