    Old seeds

I didn't realize old seeds would still germ. Had a dozen seeds from some kick butt weed saved about 8-9 years ago and lost them. Found them a few weeks ago and 10 of 12 took off. I remember its two strains of something I thought was worth keeping.. Im wondering how many will be males, probably all..lol Anyway they are growing thick & stocky under 6 4ft flo's and will switch to a 250 Hps when flowering. I want to flower them kinda low like 12-15" .Any problems with flowering that small ?.They are only 10" now and just pinched them a few days ago..I grew some clones about ten years back but never from seed but so far so. Forgot how fun growing is

    Wow,

That is awesome results for such old seeds. Did you keep them under any certain conditions? Froze?

I have had seeds that were around the 2-3 year mark germinate for me at around a 50% ratio.

    Congrats on the plants.

I hope you get a top quality pheno of a female and male so that you may breed them. In order to get back your seed stash, and keep your newly re-found strain.

    Peace

No, nothing special, they were in a film vile in an old dresser.. If I have some good females maybe ill keep them going (ole clone-X)..If not ill try ordering something yummy next time..I started using humic acid and things have really taken off.

    Hello,

I think that is amazing that they were still so viable after so long, especially since they didn't receive any extra care.

Hope the grow turns out great.

    Peace

Hey whats up grower, think I made an early call on all females. Today I see some very tiny balls growing on one plant that looked female earlier..Ill take some pics later and maybe you guys can help me decide for sure. I think its either a herp or male, either way I want to find out quick so I can get rid of it if it needs to go.

    Amazing plants dude, Looking great.

But just out of curiousity, how much ventilation you have going on there?
Nice, bushy plants like that seem like they may get a little short of breath without good venting, and Im anxious to know how your going about it.

With those wide leaves, Is the humidity on the high side a little bit?
Just what I've read, may be the strain though..

    Just wondering man
    Good luck & keep posts

ickysticky keep a close eye on those tiny balls that could easily be male pre-flowers,a few of them could mature and spunk all over your ladies hair and give you a seedy harvest!

Naaa Skateboarder, That grow spot is part of an un-insulated garage here in NE. I have a problem keeping the temps high enough at night and the humidity in non existent. The huge fans leaves on most of the plants are genetic. There is two strains there...What exactly I donā??t know. I would guess mostly Indicia types..Summer growing in that area would be impossible..But why bother, thats why god made rubbermaid pots & the sun, bring em inside in october to finish up perfectly

Grower, I yanked the plant in question yesterday, not going to play games...It was an evil male.
