I've used the Internet for some time...back when most people had no clue what an 'e-mail' address was, there was no Netscape or IE, everything was text based, and access was $14.95/month for 5 hours of SLIP/PPP access and 2.95 for each additional hour.

So...the things I love...

How a lot of people adopt alter-egos and do and say things on the 'net' that they would never do or say in real life. The internet allows people to be stalkers, subversives, bullies, 'e thugs', romantics, and many other 'characters' that some people can't be in 'real life'.

LOL, I love how everyone on the Internet is well endowed...or so they say.

I love how the Internet is truly a reflection of society. The things that we deny or say there aren't problems with, you can find communities for all over the Internet. THings that our society has shunned in the past are now open and transparent and must be dealt with, or at the very least, acknolwedged.

I absolutely love how parents use the Internet as babysitters. Then I read news stories on kids found with pipe bomb instructions, stacks of porno, doing porno online, ordering alcohol on the net...and here the same thing, "Well, these things need tighter controls". Noooooo, you need to be a parent......

Basically, I love how people treat the Internet as some sort of 'second world' that they feel they can remain anonymous in and do whatever they want with little or no consequences. It's great entertainment, for me at least, to point these people out and make them feel little...as I do in real life with the many phony people that work for, with, and around me.

Yes, I love the Internet.
