    Yeild experiment 1: Electroculture

after reading the thread electroculture http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=75682 i hve decided to give it a try.

heres the beakdown of the experiment.

    apparatus

two copper plates (actually peices of copper pipe hammered flat and buffed)
2 small cannabis plants (about 3-4 weeks old)
    two nine volt batterys
    four wires

    method 1

    1. connect one wire to the positive terminal of one of the batterys, connect another to the negative.
    2. connect the other end of the positive wire to one of the copper plates, connect the other end of the negative wire to another copper plate.
    3. take a new pot, fill about one centermetre with soil.
    4. place the negative plate onto the soil
    5. re-pot the plant into the new "electropot"
    6. place the positive plate one centermeter under the top of the soil about one centermeter.

    method 2

    1. connect one wire to the positive terminal of a battery, connect another wire to the negative terminal of the battery
    2. connect the other end of the negative wire to a copper plate
    3. take a new pot, fill about one centermetre with soil.
    4. place the negative plate onto the soil
    5. re-pot the plant into the new "electropot"
6 take the insulation off the end of the positive wire and very, very, very carefully insert it just below the top of the plant into the stem. secure it.

the flow of electrons in method two is from the copper plate in the base of the pot up through the roots and plant to the wire inserted into the top of the plant.
im prepared to lose this plant in the name of science.

actual pictures of the plants and set up coming shortly (gotta go out n do it)

    any suggestions/responses/questions greatly appreciated

    Yeild experiment 1: Electroculture

yeah, after reading a little on the website posted in the electroculture post.

in method 2 i thought that it may be better to have the flow of electrons goin from the soil up through the roots to the plant, corresponding with the flow of nutrient ions. im not sure about the voltages though, the original txt stated that a victorian scientist used 60v dc on a large patch of plants, not weed though obviously, cnt remember what it was. so im gonna use a 9v battery on each plant see how it goes compared to a control plant of the same age and density.
i may have to include an led into the wiring system though for watering purposes. as current can flow through water i dont want the batterys getting hot and possibly exploding due to the short circuit. but there might not even be enough current between the two connections for this to happen, could just act as a safety device.
will set this up tommorow night (sunday, uk) and post pics of the final set up with up 2 date pics every 5 days depending on results.

With any current flow either way and the roots at a differnt level , It may kill the plants.
And with out a control of volts and amp, plus a meter.
Remember any loose volts will cause electrolicis (sp) to ground and make you pipes in the house leak.
So you must use high resistive insulation, any millivolt losses will eat pipes and metal parts.
Due to changes in the conductivety when wet and dry you will need a contoler , in the millivolt range.
Remember low levels of copper will kill plants, and they will absorb copper for normal groth in the ppb levels ,, thats parts per Billion
Have seen some good power supplies for under $1000 U.S.
With out data of Volts , amps ,time
I wish you the best of luck May OHM'S be you guide
Note had a shorted pump once, and did not effect the plants, but I did get knocked on my ass once. OHMS OHMS, O lord I feel the power.
Next you may want to try the Magnitic thing from mgausse the M gause NN,SS, NS orientation. North, south off axis orentation. (I tried that no luck )
With out a base line of grams/watts/month , you will need to establish.
    Have fun
