Question about canna-oil
Okay, here's what I did. I threw a bottle of canola oil in the crockpot (48 fluid ounces, 1.42 liters), and added 2.5 ounces of dried budlets (the little mini-buds that grow further down a stalk), and it's cooking on low now. I figure that'll probably give me enough oil to make 10 pans of brownies, with an average of a quarter ounce of dried budlets per pan.
The question is: think that's enough cannabis stewing? I can add more, but it'd have to be actual buds now, rather than the mini-buds, so I'd rather not. But if you don't think that's enough, well, I don't want 10 pans of weak brownies. I'd like two brownies to fuck you up, or one brownie for a lesser effect. Well, no answer, so I cooked it for 7.25 hours, strained it out, used half a cup in a pan of brownies (cooking now), and here's a pic of what's leftover: a thousand dollar bottle of cannaoil! Heh.
I figure if it's too weak, I can cook another smaller amount of oil and make it super potent with an ounce of pure bud, then mix it with this to strengthen it. If this is already to strong, then I can just cut this with some normal canola to weaken it. I'm gonna make this work!
If anyone was wondering if doing this smellifies the area: yes, it does, dramatically. Whew, momma, it reeks! I'm not sure if just cooking the brownies will be so bad (but no way for me to tell with this first batch). But I could taste it in the brownie goo when I licked the spoon after mixing the brownies up, so it probably does somewhat. Can't possibly compare to crockpotting the stuff into the oil though!

so did it work? cuz theres a different way you can do it to extract just the active thc with butter and boiling water, and then cooling the water so the butter resolidifies. the advantage of doing it that way is you can fit tons of thc into a small amount of butter, and you dont have all the other carcinogens in there that made your canola oil brown. you should try out my kamo recepie, its basically tea made from that butter fused with chamomile n it knocks you on your ass.

oh yeah and another advantage is that it doesnt smell nearly as much... somethin to keep in mind for next time i guess

Whew, yeah, it worked! Maybe it was beginner's luck, but that bottle of oil came out perfect. The woman had one brownie, and she felt it. I had two, and I was thoroughly wasted for more than 6 hours, although it took 45 mins or so to start kicking in, but I was expecting that. I think I got enough oil for 11 pans of brownies, so there's still enough for 10 more. Lol, that's 160 of these brownies, that should be good for months, cuz I don't want to get THAT wasted every day!
I thought about trying butter, but my brownie mixes take oil in the recipe.
