My mother in law worked for them for years and everytime I put these two together she corrected me.

Say what you will, but I believe she knows what she is speaking about, not only did she work there but she had two brothers working there as well.

Your mother is correct technically, due to the fact that they are no longer subsidized by the feds, and have to pay their own way. I'm sure that the protesters don't see the difference, and neither do I.

As long as Postal Inspectors are "Federal Law Enforcement" and any violation on postal property is tried in "Federal court" in front of a "Federal judge".

Exactly. The reason people don't get all up in arms about the Canadian flag, the Canadian immigrants, or the lack of a giant fence along the Canadian border is because they're so much like us. They're white, they speak English (for the most part), and their country is rich and industrialized. You can't pick them out of a crowd unless you can identify the subtle differences in their dialect, so they're much harder to scapegoat.

In many parts of the UK, I have seen American flags being flown sometimes alone sometimes alongside the Flag of the Union or St. George's flag.

So there you have it. The whole immigration problem isn't racial at all. Certainly there is plenty of racism intermixed, especially when immigration is causing problems.

Politics isn't helping. Republicans love the cheap labor to get wealthy off the work force, and Democrats love the idea that an Hispanic with voting rights will probably vote Democrat. No one wants to handle the problem.

What needs to happen is Government needs to come down on employers who are breaking the law--plus! (and this is a big pllus), the United States needs to help Mexico get it's shit together so that poverty stricken people don't have to flee across the border. We've been greedily exploiting them long enough and now it's backfiring on us.

Yeah, we'll bomb the shit out of a country and use the excuse that we're helping them with Democracy and giving them a better way of life. But how do we walk that walk? The hypocracy of that bullshit turns my stomach.

Mexico has every resource in the world and could be a great place to live. So we're all guilty. Mexican Nationals need to go home and work for a better country, and the United States needs to stop exploiting them and help make that a reality.
