Huge Bust in my Area

I am about 10 minutes from the area. I bring this up because the people operating it had lookouts with guns...so obviously if a trespasser stumbled across it, they would get capped. This made it very obvious to me that the laws against pot cause violence, not pot itself. Would these people have guns if it weren't illegal? I doubt it...

dont doubt that its gonna get extremely dry in ur area really soon
as long as theres a demand theres gonna production, even if its illegal, the more the demand, the more production theres gonna be...and with that comes the guns...

Not likely to go dry. This is California. It doesn't rain for 8 months of the year but it's never dry. I live in the San francisco Bay Area and they've already found somehting like 75,000 plants this year, several different locations, less than 10 miles from a city with 1million people. There's been no sign of a dry spell around here though.

Mariposa, where this bust was, is pretty much out in the boonies. No offense Finding Tim. It's the Sierra foothills. For every 37k plants they find there's 100k more.

But yeah, these guys are serious. The illusion is some happy old hippie with a nice little patch of weed. The reality is large scale production with a lot of money invested in and a lot more hopefully coming out. Last year a deputy got shot and killed during one of our local raids. If they're willing to shoot a cop I don't think they'd think twice about some kid who found the grow and thought he could score some free buds.
