    The Lowryder Thread

If you've worked with this strain before... tell us about your experience with the plant. What kind of nutrients and growing methods have worked for you? Which have not?

    The Lowryder Thread

Soaked in aged water on top of a cablebox for mild heat source......covered and left alone for 3 days ....I returned to 4 seedlings breaking almost completely out of their seed husk and membrane.

I do a lot of hands on by using tweezers to plant seedlings and just barely cover them

.......and after 2 days ....they've come thru nicely and healthy looking.

I'll keep you posted if you'd like.

I use a soil mixture of Botanicare Ready Grow (Moisture Formula) mixed 1:1 ration with Foxfarm Ocean Forest Soil mix. 1 Galloin to 1 Gallon
I added perlite, 1/2 cup....to the foxfarm only, before mixing.
Worm Castings were also added......1/2 gallon.

I fill very small 3 inch pots of the soil and soilles blend for all beginnings and allow them to sit in a small tupperware conatiner to allow the soil to soak up watrer until the seedlings are planted. This ensures a damp soil to begin with and not a watering from the top that will move and shift the seedlings.

    Just my methods

At the first and last transplant I do...because of the stealth and height restrictions....they're going into 1/2 gallon grow bags
The soil mixture will then be equal parts Foxfarm Ocean Forest, Worm castings, Botanicare's Ready Grow and 3 cups of perlite.
Added to this soil will be 1 tablespoon of blood meal, 1 tablespoon bone meal and 2 tablspoons of greensand plus along with a teaspoon of seaweed concentrate powder.

This mixture is mixed at the beginning of the grow so that it has time to cook....so to speak....allowing the yummies to begin their life within the soil.

....don't let the size fool you...If a plant is given what it wants and needs when it tells you....it'll fluorish. I once grew Sudden Impact in 40oz cups

......and then did a clone run...so it works.

    Plans .....
    small lighting of 150w hps and 2 x 125w compact fluoros (6500k)
I'll feed them from day 12 a 1/2 strength fish and seaweed emulsion approx 2 times.

Then things change to an Earth Juice Grow, Bloom, Meta K and microblast feedings at mild dosage.
I feed weakly like this because I feed every watering and keep it this way until the plants are deep in green.

A weak Mexican Bat Guano and Black Strap molasses tea is used by week 3 at 1/3 strength. It's a great N push before flowering begins.

I feed N deep into flowering too.....2 weeks before backing off and adding a Jamaican Bat Guano and molasses tea, still continuing the Earth Juice feedings as mild.

....at 2 weeks before harvest I go straight water that's aged and pHed until harvest.....right before harvest I allow 36 hours of darkness (which pushes for those trichomes to change in color) and then 48 hours of no water at all before chopping....depending on the strain this could be 3 weeks.

This in theory pulls all of the unused NPK out of the plant and assist in drying and cure.

stay tuned for pics and more......:rasta:
    perhaps a journal ??
