i dont understand why are there so many tv commercials websites newspaper articles etc. saying how bad marijauna is when there are true articles that tell the real truth about it. i just dont get how it got to be such a big deal anyways.. why did so many people and the government start to hate it in the first place?

Before when it was prohibited, it was during the depression and it was $100 of tax per pound, which is a lot of tax, so people stopped buying and started growing.

Basically it started with hemp and cotton, then some guy desperate to look important, then it went into total chaos. Thats the whole story behind marijuana being illegal in a very brief explanation .
