how does environmental stress help the plant?

they only reason i can think of is because the plant doesnt have the right environment anymore so it thinks it gonna stop growing so it shoves out the rest of the THC is can before it stops.

is this right?

L0r6dIN6faM6ous Reviewed by L0r6dIN6faM6ous on . lights and leaves I read a post a couple days ago where dis one dude said that 2 weeks b4 he harvests he cuts a shit load of fan leaves off while he is flushing out the nutes. he said it gives more light to the buds to help them grow more.. i dont know if i can believe this or not, because i though leaves helped the bud grow by taking in light?? any opinions on this matter? also, i read if you keep the lights off for a week before you harvest it can increase THC levels by 15 pecent..
