Just a light thing....you want to move your lights closer and let the temp raise a few degrees.Doesn't matter what part of the cycle since it is always beneficial but I recommend starting just before flowering til the end

thanks fella, do you think its worth all the effort and cash, would yields be significantly increased?

You have another option. It sounds like you are talking about a co2 booster system, probably about $125. You could go with dry ice. It is known to be quite effective if done properly, you could probably get it for under $2/lb.

Well a plant makes co2 at night , why would you want to add. Now you want a 1500 ppm during the on light cycle:thumbsup: . Solid co2 out gasses at rates dependant on temp.
Thats why people use controlers for 2 reasons plants and co2 displaces O2 and a room sealed off, can kill you.:cursing: :what:
YOu should up the temp , by looking at the plants and see what temp makes them happy. I found that 90-94 is what White Widow likes.
Plus at night you need to vent the room to normal 300 ppm so the plants can make co2 normaly.:upsidedow
I suggest you do some more reading to help you plants grow.

My question is where do i mount a co2 generator and will the pilot light be bright enough to cause problems in flowering

Most generators are mounted 15-20" from the celing and about the same from the wall too. The pilot light will not be a problem in the dark cycle. Most of the pilot lights are inside the system and you don't see them anyway. Plus they don't produce lumens so no effect on the plant from the glow.

If you do use a generator then what are you going to use as your controler?

Check the FAQ on the basic use of CO² and your plants.

Once again Zandor comes through with the answer!

I am trying to find out if the combination of light produced by my green LEDs (on my environmental controller) and my co2 generator pilot would effect my plants

Zandor says the green light (NOT green filtered light) is safe and that the pilot is safe...but this is based on pilot lights being inside the generator and not visible.

    Just to clarify...
    1) If the pilot "is visible" (puts off an obvious glow) will it be a problem? Its only 3 or 4 feet from the plants
    2) Is there a chance that the combination of the LEDs and pilot will be bad? One of the LEDs is only a foot from the plants (its on the remote sensor)
    3) Does reflecting the light away from the plants help - even if it does not reduce the total light in the room?

Besides the LEDs and pilot the room is 100% Dark

P.S. I've been growing a year and a half and have yet to get a great harvest...mites, mildew, root rot, bad genetics, light leaks, power got shut off, etc...so I really need to know that my op is ready for flower.
