Sucker Recipe

2 Cups Sugar
½ Cup Water
½ Cup Corn Syrup (I use Light Karo Syrup)
1 tsp. Oil Flavoring
Food Color

Combine sugar, water, and corn syrup over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook to a hard crack (300° F) while continually stirring. Remove from heat â?? add flavoring and coloring. Stir approximately 2 minutes. Pour into molds arranged on cookie sheet or marble slab â?? make sure to grease molds and cookie sheet with spray shortening).

Special note: make sure that the sugar is completely dissolved and then use a new mixing spoon. If any crystals remain, the whole batch will re-crystalize and your suckers will be ruined!
