It's a "paradox" that has been solved by modern mathematical understanding of what infinity is. There is an infinite number of points, true, but there is also an infinite number of chunks of time you are using to traverse those points. You will be able to get over the finite distance in a finite amount of time, even though those finite entities could theoretically be broken down into an infinite number of infinitely small chunks. For each infinitely tiny point you have to get across, there is an infinitely tiny amount of time needed to cross it, so when an infinite number of infinitely tiny points adds up to your finite distance, a corresponding infinite number of infinitely tiny chunks of time adds up to your finite time.

lol, entertaining, there was a little computer animation going through my head while I read that post, showing me what it means.

Yeah, everyone who doesn't know quantum physics is a DUMBASS. /kidding.

So he didn't know. Big deal. No need to be a jerk about it.

if u wanna get techinical everything can be browekn down limitlessly...just cause humans dont know the answer doesnt mean it doesnt exist...

In reference to the line situation >>> What is the smallest fraction between 0 and 1. Dumbfounding to even the smartest mind. Besides the simple, and right answer: infinity.

Infinity cannot be explained or understood, through human perception we will never grasp the idea of infinity. And inifinity is almost the basis of everything in this universe. Also the universe is technically not the biggest thing in existance. There are alternate universes. Just not perceptable, but through quantum physics and ecetera there are solid theories and laws stating that there can and probably are alternate universes.

    On to another mindfuck.

    Black Holes-
I've always wondered where they lead to... A hole in the very fabric of space and time, nothing can escape it. Not even the very light that we see and cannot control. Now where does all of it lead to? No one will ever know. Also wormholes. A way to travel time.. people could theroetically make and travel time through wormholes, but it would require energy something like 10million times more than is produced by the sun ever second (discover magazine). And imagine the complications of simply (somehow) travelling back in time, and then taking away someones book bag.. maybe 10,000 people will die because of the infinite chain of events that would follow. Think, you travel back in time and go to your school, you break someones leg, as time progresses you would eventually be effected by it (finding out in the future of the time you are present in, or the time you are preceiving as the past) and be instantly and infinitley affected by everything that you did.

    Call me the mindfucker.

Also, if we came up with the technology to transfer matter to energy, and back to matter again, we could travel light speed, affecting the time we are aging. 1 hour traveling at that light speed and all of the people we know when we come back would all be years older than us, even though we only aged an hour.

come to think of it, if we could transfer energy to matter we could digitize software creations and make them real, like virtual porn you can sense with the 5 senses.

It is impossible to travel the speed of light, unless you are light (of course). The theory about E=MC2 has this thing.. that if you travel the speed of light you become infinitley heavy until you have infinite mass and are unable to move. Crazy but its what I've read.

And 5 sense porn.. awesome but It would ruin life as we know it. People wouldn't have a reason to live in the "real" world if all 5 senses could be accomadated for and replaced with easy to come by software.

and so the matrix is created

i know it's impossible for matter to travel the speed of light, that is why I said, if we had the technology to turn our physical bodies into energy (light), and back.
