It all comes down to who you know. It is not advertised or in the classifieds, so you have to search for it yourself, just like anywhere else.

It is largely tolerated in most parts of Canada, so you may see more people out in public toking a jay or a bowl. You don't have to be super secret here. As long as you don't harm anyone or make it noticable that you're getting stoned, people tend not to bother you. They'll look and stare sometimes, but they usually smile or give you thumbs up when they do.

It's just more available and is around everywhere all over Canada, so more people sell it or grow it. Since we have weaker cannabis laws here, it is around more and is not hard to find if you ask people who look and dress like you, fellow stoners.

There aren't many cafes. Only in Vancouver and Toronto from what I hear, and truthfully, I don't know how they stay open without getting shut down, because cannabis is illegal here, it is just tolerated.

So to answer your question, yes, things have changed a bit. Lighter laws means more people will indulge in it, sell it, grow it and take that chance, because if you get caught, the punishment is light. Anything under 28grams is just a $115 fine. Pay it, be done with it, gone, or, fight it, and you might win.
