I'm in an odd place in my life right now.

I'm 17, recently graduated from high school. I'm taking one class a week at the local community college, because of transportation problems and presumably so I can work my ass off the other 38 hours a week. However, I just quit my job at the movie theatre because, well, I was about to get laid off, if you will. So for the past week or so I have been doing essentially nothing. Reading, exercising, fucking around on the computer, playing guitar, and, of course, smoking as much as it is possible to smoke whilst still living at home. These past 6 or 7 days have been a sort of heaven, as you can imagine. It's about time I got back to the real world, though. Besides not wanting to dip into my meager savings for daily expenses (weed, and, uh, that's about it), I feel a bit useless. SoI've applied for a bunch of promising jobs around town, and I know within a week I'll be back to the 40+ hour a week routine of work and school. Next semester, I plan to be a full-time student, so I can transfer as soon as possible to the college where 3 of my closest friends are going. And yeah, that college happens to be Humboldt.

Anyway, I've just been musing about my life, where it's possibly headed, etc. It's funny because I usually don't do much thinking about the future. This must be Sativa to be able to break me out of my usually extremely present-orientated thinking.

People who focus on the present are often the happiest people, I've noticed. It's those who worry about the future, or who dwell on the past, who get caught up in depression, stress, etc. Life is too unpredictable, chaotic, and short not to enjoy every single moment.

I'm starting to ramble. I plan to drink a bottle of wine, a pot of coffee, smoke the rest of my 8th, and have a few cigarettes, just to see what the effect of a combination of the most popular intoxicants will yield. Wish me luck.

buckle up and enjoy the ride
    its going to get bumpy
    hang on tight

you learn more from unsuccesful moments
    then you do succesful ones
    if you want wisdom
    prepare to suffer

    good luck
Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
