Miracale grow On Balcony....
this is a plant I put in this soil as a test.
http://www.scottscanada.ca/index.cfm...B3EDF704CEF562
I have given this plant nothing but water. It has been on my balcony Since Mid July It gets about 3 to 4 hours of direct sun a day. I am surprized to see how this plant has come along with the dreaded Miracle Grow soil. Besides some weird Burn the plant looks really healthy.
This is a first for me outside. Inside in my Cab I use ProMix or Coco. But This kinda makes me wonder. It has started to show flowers (female) But Its on my balcony in Big city so its almost doesn't get a total dark period due to the light polution. Plus when my Gf goes onto balcony at night somtimes and the light from inside gets out SO I will be curious to see how much this will affect the plant.
I should really build a cover for it at night or somthing, Im tempted to bring it inside for Proper lighting and Dark cycles. But im curious as well to see how much it affects the bud and what it does to it.
Well SO far the plant has been so easy to maintain add water and go. IM happy see what the end result is shouldn't be too much longer now.

looks good, time to repot though. and looks like the new growth is starting to need some Nitrogen. Can't believe it though from MG.

I was super surprized too. Yeah I just repotted it Last week but I can see the roots poking through the bottom. how can you tell it needs repotting? by the Leaves? Its started to flower Should I really give it nitrogen?
I may just stick to water to see what Miricle Grow can do,, Or well not do

Any help with the LightPolution from the city at night time? What does this actully affect the quality of Bud Or the amount of Bud?
Does it make the bud unsmokable? I had dried to the bone Bud once but for the life of it it would not burn. It was annoying. I didn't grow it though, It looked normal and fine But it wuodl not burn
any help with what Light Polution at night time might do to this plant would be awsome.
Thanks kindly

the plant needs 12 hours of pitch darkness and 12 hours of light for the budding to start so if its got light on an off during the dark period it can stress confuss your plants life cycle
my plant is also in miracle grow and seems to be doing well!!

your plant look very similar to mine. Awsome, yeah I should build somthing to make it in the dark all night but I kinda wanna see what it will produce more important I wan to geta few clones for it for inside.
I read in your forum adding Sugar to your water or giving them gaterade? Whats this for? Does it fatten Buds? If so how much Sugar do you add to water? and when? and why I guess? I did a quick search nothing really came up.
THanks Kindly

this is just fromwhat ive been told
1 the gatorade (lucozade in uk) is fizzy causing bubbles to get into the soil to help root
2 near the ends the buds like sugary liquids
but thats about it really i didnt get much back from it im afraid but i can see the principle !!
well if u wana clone then you dont wont it budding to keep it in 16/8 light so cloning will be easier

well you should 1. either have enough stored Nitrogen in your plant before you enter the budding cycle. or 2. fert lightly in the beginning of your budding cycle with a flowering formula that contains no less than 3 Nitrogen. But anyway, on to other topics, your plant won't flower properly (if at all) if it doesn't get 12 hours darkness, some plants will start to flower at 13 some 14 but they will just stall out and stay in limbo until the hours are 12 darkness. Sugar, will fatten buds up in some strains by 50%. Its really incredible. Adding sugar supplements the plants natural sugars meaning that your plant will grow bigger, quicker than without it. Also note that the more brown the sugar meaning un processed the better it is, the best being turbinado. Haven't heard about Gatorade, I don't see why plants need electrolites...Also about repotting, you should repot so the roots quit showing through. All though roots hardly grow durning flowering, so it's your call.

Yes I can see Buds Forming up the plant but I have yet to get my main flower on the top. I am thinking of just covering it with a Garbage bag or putting it into a carboard box. I know this isn't idea for air movment but I dont have all that much choice. as its september.
Hmmmmmmmm I wonder will it start to get too cold have I already missed My flowering start time?
IM gonna get some picts of the little flowers for the board Gf has camera.
I should just put it in a carboard box and cut a hople in the bottom of the box.. From 7pm to 7am I dont know what else to do really
