I was watering it every day like a fool for a while.

that will do it, try and water every other day. even though its temping to water it every day weed just cant deal with that much water. Think about in nature it doestn rain every day so over watering just leads to root rot post some more pictures in a couple of days if you can. :smokin:
o and also a good way to check if the plant needs water is to put your finger an inch or so in the soil and see if its wet if its dry give it water if not wait another day.
