    New Grower

I've done my studying on growing and I pretty much got everything down.

First, I'm starting off with midgrade seeds (only because its the only shit around here with seeds), is it possible to turn out to be anything but middies?

Second, what special fertilizers have you used to make the buds more potent? I have read on all the nutrients that are best for the plants but a lot of the buds strength has to come from the fertilizer. Also, how much fertilizer would you use per gallon of water just when you begin with a pot six inches in diameter. I dont wanna make the rookie mistakes and over water or over fertilize.

It is possible to get good plants from your seeds if you take care of them. Make sure you have good seeds from your bags. Part of the problem with mid grade is with the whole growing process. You could get lucky and get some good genetics. For a gallon of water I wouldnt use more than a 1/4 strengh of what the fert recommends. You can always use more later if needed, but if use too much can burn your plants.

I'm not a expert on this by no means, but I think that you are pretty much stuck with middle class weed. I'm not saying that a certian nuke formula can't give you better pot, I just saying that having the right you would have to deliver that in the right amount at the right time each time it needs feed. You would have to have a perfect grow no problems at all the light being just right, right brightness distance from plant to have optimal growth. I'm nine weeks into my first grow and when I started like you. I read my books, and had a game plan, and big hopes that I to could grow the best plants it seems easy from a book. Now I know that this is not a perfect world and I can tell you this much. Since this is your first grow you will make mistakes and good chance alot of them it takes time to learn where the lights need to be and watering enough without overwatering, feed without to much feed when to spray and when not. Just getting them to sprout and keep them alive can be a challenge. Not metion maintaining proper PH levels, and the heat problem, Not to mention ventalation. I know people on this board that have grown two or three grows and are still learn how grow with perfect succes. It takes time and in time you might beable to just that. But for right now I would learn how to grow the seeds you have and be happy with a little free weed that you grew your self even though it not the very best weed in world. Learn from the not so good seeds and then when you buy the real good seed you will have better chance of success. Kinda wordy best of luck in your first grow Bizzy
