Fidel Castro
good guy. Parties in the streets in FL. when they thought he was dead. But in Cuba people prayed for him to survive, celebrated his birthday, and had faith. So...the cuban americans hate him. oh wow it makes just as big a difference as americans living in canada that hate george bush. no one really cares. Not to mention the constant praise the country recieves for its hurricane and disaster prepardness (probably the best in the world, and definetly better then the United States. *cough* katrina *cough*) Not to mention he liberated the country from mr. batista. Whos regime was filled to the brim with corruption and poverty, as well as a police force well known for its harsh tactics and violence to the citizens.

fidel castro is a legend, the only reason cuba is poor is because of the u.s naval blockade which has been there forever. castro is the exact opposite of the bushes in every way. hes a good man and fuck anyone who says he isnt.

If Cuban people hated him, he would have been killed - they're allowed to have guns and Castro isn't any more difficult to off than anybody else in a position such as his. I believe that he's even said himself that if the people are unsatisfied with him that he should be killed.
That being said, he's a dictator and communist, but if his populace is happy, it's not our problem and none of our business. There are far greater threats than Castro. We should not have embargoed Cuba - it's stupid. We're doing business with countries that have imported terrorists to us and, say what you will about Fidel, he's not a supporter of terrorism. We've got to get our priorities straight.
