chemical vs organic
Howdy soontobebig,
You can't buy bat guano tea,as far as I know,you have to buy bat guano in a composted,powdered form-mine came in a small bucket,from a local nursery/greenhouse.
I took some family-sized tea bags with strings, and emptied out the tea grounds and rplaced them with about 3-4 tablespoons of the powdered bat guano, then restapled the bags with the strings attached, which allowed me to use the cap of a one gallon milk jug to hold the string and allow the bag to be suspended in 6.8 ph balanced, reverse osmosis water. You shake up the jug gently, once or twice a day,for about 4 or 5 days..until it gits dark and stinky..lol.
At the end of that time,it will be ready to use..simply pour it onto the soil around your plants..watch em grow !
Btw,I reccomend using a dust mask and latex gloves, when handling this stuff, both during prep and later, when it's ready to use.
Be warned, this can stink up your house a bit ! Manure teas, are reccomended for outdoor use..because they smell !
Have a good one...Torog
