Indeed the stuff that makes you dumb (thc) is the good stuff that gets you high.Originally Posted by BlazinTreesX3

The curious thing about the brain, is that it contains receptors that are specifically for THC molecules... At least from what I've got so far, I'm still learning all this complicated brain physiology stuff on my own.
Anyways, THC just binds itself to those receptors, and also binds itself to receptors meant for other chemicals, such as anandamide receptors. It doesn't destroy the receptors or the neurotransmitters, just sends off extra signals.
Of course, by doing this, it does a lot of stuff to your brain, both desired and not, so along with the euphoric effects, your short-term memory suffers somewhat (But not long-term memory). It also causes you to become hungry, among other things. But there is no evidence that cannabis causes permanent brain damage, if even any permanent effects at all.
They did a test on rats, and concluded that the amount of cannabis needed to be toxic was so high, no human being, and possibly living thing at all, could consume enough by itself for it to be toxic. So it's also not lethal.
^^ If you didn't understand what I was talking about there, you shouldn't be coming in here telling me cannabis kills brain cells. You have to learn the facts before you can start talking.
