Why me? Cancer at 23
my condolences.
don't let yourself become depressed over this. don't become a victim of learned helplessness. sometimes the difference between those who survive and those who don't is the level of morale they have.
it is easier said than done, but you gotta live your life to the fullest. consider this a wakeup call to do all the things you wanted to do. this could be a positive experience (and please don't find that insensitive, because i understand what you're going through--several people i know, including my mother have cancer).
don't be discouraged.IanCurtisWishlist Reviewed by IanCurtisWishlist on . Why me? Cancer at 23 Bad luck happens to be my middle name. These last 2 months have been real shitty, but this is so far the worst. I thought I having terrible constant back pain, in reality, it was tescular cancer. Don't drink soda. Don't east fast food. Exercise constantly. Once was perfectly healthy......now my life is totally ruined. I just don't know what to do anymore, or where to go from here. Just got a great new job, and I can't work now, I have to go through chemotherapy and lose my Rating: 5Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man?

Sorry to hear this news.
I know a guy that got the same thing as you in 1968, at about age 15. He survived, has had a good life, and is still alive and well. The treatments available today are FAR superior to what they were even 15 years ago - so keep your spirits up, follow the doctors' advice, and the chances are you'll get through this and come through OK. It may be worth seeing a therapist for a while just to help keep your balance during this. They can teach you techniques to deal with it. Keep us posted, and good luck.

Thinking of you thcbongman!
What some others are saying.......start making sure you eat vast amounts of DARK GREEN VEGGIES and salmon and sardines. I know it doesn't sound so yummy but I admit they're the best foods to eat when there's a compromise of health.
