Need advise -First time weed smoker

I'm not sure if I inhale, it was the first time trying this kind of stuff.

Breathe deeply. Draw oxygen DEEP into your lungs. Did you do that with the smoke? Or did you just puff on it with your mouth-suction, and then puff it out, real shallowly?
