Was I being set up for a bust?????

Hey guys. I dont know if I was being set up or not, but I got a call from an old dealer of mine last week asking me if I wanted anything. I said I would give him a call which I never did. I havent spoken to him in awhile because whenever I would call him for something, he would say he would call me back and about 70% of the time he would never call back and have me hanging for days. Thats not right man so I just didn't bother with him anymore. I'm not waiting days for weed. Just not gonna happen.

So then he calls me out of the blue last weekend and asks me if I need something. I found that pretty suspicious. You call the dealer...the dealer doesn't call you. I think he deals coke and other shit too, so I dont like messing with them type of dealers anyway. I know his house got robbed a few months ago too, so he may have been under investigation and wanted to set me up for a lighter prison sentence. It was very fishy, so I never called him back.

But he never said "do you want to purchase some marijuana off me". Just "do you need anything". I'm not a legal expert, but I was always under the impression that if they were to do this kind of bust, they would have to use strict names like marijuana, cocaine, or heroin in order to do the set up.

I never did anything to this person anyway. I used to work with him, so I don't know why he would try and set me up. And I have not heard anything on the news about him being busted or anything.

Do you guys think it could have been a set up? Any similar experiences?

usually pigs work like this....they catch the user....scare him into telling him their dealer...and then that dealers dealer....untill the entire cartel is gone...
they dont work the oppisite way it doesnt work that way...besides if he was selling coke a small bud bust aint gonna do shit for him...i knoww hen i would sell and i just reuuped if i needed some cash i would make a few phone calls...or if i was almost out and i just wanted to get rid of what i had, id call a few people and hook em up for cheap...maybe ur being to paranoid?...i dunno i wouldnt fuck with him anywayz if u have a betetr connect...i wouldnt wanna wait days for shit either

I don't think he was trying to set you up, but I still wouldnt buy from him if he treated you like that in the past. You don't keep your customers by treating them like shit.

all they have to do to bust you is set up the deal (reguardless of word play) wait for the drugs/money to transfer hands and boom, there you go off to jail.

LOL This guys just trying to keep his customers , phone him up and tell him that you dont like hanging for weed so you stopped going .... Be truthfull to your dealer, hes the store your the merchant ..... Tell him you stopped calling because 70% of the time you wouldnt get a phone call back and then say you found a reliable person but if he can help you out otherwise, then great.
