    WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

    PICTURES COMING VERY SOON!!

I'm finally ready to start my project everyone!! This is what I'm dealing with: I have $450 to spend on all of the things I need to get started, and I need some help on what items to buy. I went to the store earlier in the week, to buy some SuperThrive and a timer. The closet I will be using is pretty decent. The overall closet is 5ft long (60 inches), a little under 4ft wide (47 inches), and 7ft tall (93 inches). I'M ONLY USING ABOUT 4 1/2ft tall (55 inches) and 2 3/4ft long and wide (32 inches). Of course, I know that I need soil, pots, nutrients, lights, and etc. But the question is, what exactly to buy and where from?? Please everyone, if you have the time, give me a list of items that I need to get started, dealing with the price and location (websites) that I could purchase these items from. Thank you for your time!!

I been doing research for the longest. I know what I should get, but I would like to know EXACTLY what I need to get! I have books, magazines, and etc. I need to know things such as quality products. Example: I know that I need a light system (ballast, 400w HPS and MH, reflector), but which one. There are plenty of light systems to purchase from, but which one is the best. You can't read any information one which system works the best, you can only find out that information from someone who experienced working with that particular product.

I finally have some pictures of the setup that I am trying to utilize! So please, everyone, I need as much information as I can get. Thanks!!!

you said you did research but it looks like you could have done a little more. you're asking about lights. you'll need a ballast to hang the bulb in, and you'll want a metal halide for vegetative growth(you could even use CFL's). and for flowering it is best to use a HPS. which wattage do you need? it depends on your grow space/how many plants you'll be growing

I wasn't asking about lights in particular, I was just trying to provide and example. I know about MH and HPS bulbs and what they are used for, but what BRANDED SYSTEM is the BEST. I'm going to try and aim for 400-430 wattage bulb system. I'm also aiming at trying to fit 3 or 4 (3 gallon) pots inside the area (4 1/2ft tall (55 inches) and 2 3/4ft long and wide (32 inches)) I stated above. EXAMPLE: I know I need shoes...but which should I buy, Nike or Reebok??? Thanks for your input!

Thanks for the website insidesun.com!! I just checked this site out and it seems to have some pretty decent deals. I was thinking about the InsideSun 430w HPS ($160)! I already know about FoxFarm, but where is the best deal for getting FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil? Is it bad to order all of this growing equipment at one time, delivered to one address??? I was hoping that a couple of household fans would solve the problem for heat, since it is a pretty decent sized closet. But I will definitely look into a cheap airconditioner. My budget only runs from $450 subtract $160 for the 430w HPS = $290 left to buy the rest of my supplies. Is it worth getting the add-on chain and hooks for $12.50?? Thanks for your help!!

If you only have $450 you should not be looking for a specific brand of light, but the most bang for your admittedly limited buck, which will really truly be the store-brand lights that inside sun has for sale. They're bare-bones basic and work just fine.
If you want to upgrade, you can do that by ordering the hortilux light bulb upgrade. It's not the brand of ballast, but the BULB that you should be trying to optimize, IMO.

Thanks for the info. Is it bad to order everything at one time (light system, soil, pots, nutrients, and etc.??? If so, how should arrange for them to be shipped? Which reflector from insidesun.com is the best? I know what kind of reflectors to stay away from, but I want to know the BEST!!

The best reflectors are the one's that have a rough, indented material, you really want to avoid shiny smooth silver reflectors they are no good.
