WORST JOB YOU EVER HAD ?

Oh easy one.

My first job I ever had when I moved here was working in pork slaughtering/process. plant. I worked on the kill floor and my job was to pick up the severed pig head, slam it on a spike, and remove the skin from it's face, and remove the eyeballs. It was like an ice cream scoop kind of. You just wedged in behind there, pulled out, cut the eye veins (can't remeber the name) off and put them in a bucket.

By the end of the shift, I had a 5gal. bucket filled with eyes. They then took those and made animal food with them. Along with other parts.

When I worked there, we killed about 700 pigs per hour, in an 8hr day. This plant, that had 700 employess, has now tripled in size, and they now kill 10,000 pigs in an 8hr shift. I couldn't imagine doing that shit now, but that's the only kind of work you can get when you can only speak english half assed.

Where do I start.

The nappy factory. 10 hours a day with 30 mins lunch and no other breaks. I went home on my first day and fell asleep then my mum woke me up to say it was time for work. Noooooooooooooo.

Working as a waitress in Spain for 2 GBP an hour. Still my boss was nice, even though strange people kept shooting at him on his way to work.

Emptying money out of pink pig collection boxes and then having to count the pennies and bank them, 8 hours a day for 15 GBP a day. My boss bumped into one of his old school friends one day while I was with him and told the guy I was his daughter. I don't know why but I played along with it.

Being an office junior and being bullied and too scared to stick up for myself.

Being a legal secretary for an insane old woman in the attic of a Brighton law firm. She was so crazy the other typists would only send documents up to her in the lift unaccompanied.

I worked in a factory which made these obscure little metal shafts and screw type thingies. The shafts eventualy would wind up in the little motor that runs the power windows in your car, or that makes your windshield wipers go. Anyways, my job was to 'sort' these parts. So if a customer complained they found some rust on the shafts in their shipment from us, they'd send the entire shipment back. I would then have to inspect each and every shaft, and take out all the rusty ones. Just one day of sorting thousands of shafts was enough to drive you insane. It was so tedious.

Dude....you win. I have never had a job that can even come close to that.

Hey you might laugh at factory work but that was always my favourite. Apart from the nappy factory thing. It's so mind numbing that you can fuction the task whilst day dreaming. Like getting paid to do nothing except stare at the ceiling.

Yeah, sometimes you just get to thinking about stuff and you work for hours without actually thinking about what your doing. It goes really fast that way. Other times (escpecialy when you have plans after work) you find yourself looking at the clock every 3 minutes and the time just crawls.

The worst job I ever had was in the Army, during/after the invasion of Grenada. I got stuck with a couple of other guys on corpse cleanup duty which was pretty horrible once the corpses had sat in the fields or the jungles rotting for a few days. That's how we found a fair number of corpses, just from the smell. We had to use humor to deal with that job, grisly morgue-type humor. If we couldn't have laughed, we'd surely have cried. No extra pay for cleaning up the corpses either (although there was a little extra just for being in a combat zone).

I worked for a slaughter house as a livestock driver for a year.

Picking them up for there one way ticket..... to the diner table.

Worst was cleaning up the back of the truck at the end of the day.

Working for the Disney reservations center. It's a cult, I tell you! They even make you go by a fake name they give you. Someone in my training class got stuck with Mazelnut... I quit before week 3 of training.
