Uh.. hello people, this happens all the time. and it is *perfectly* safe.

Viruses & Bacteria are not inherently evil - if they were, no one would be eating cheese now would they?! (Look up how cheese is made if you aren't sure what i'm talking about)

Lunch meats, hotdogs etc. Along with sodium nitrite in processed meats, hormones, steroids and a long list of antibiotics. How about some mayo with partially hydrodgenated oil on that.
