No, it is not a case of the clay pot denying the existence of a potter. It is a case of the potter denying the existence of a potter-maker. Humans are the result of billions of years of natural selection; all our specialized body parts and behaviors are the result of countless generations of beings that were successful at passing on their genes, because they could survive and reproduce. If you ask me, that is a far more astonishing and wonderous answer than pretending some magical sky wizard just made us on a whim. I just don't see how people are so amazed by the "God did it" hypothesis. Evolution is way more exciting, explanatory and well, backed up by real solid evidence too.

So we don't have any more "purpose" of being here than a rock or an electron does. Big deal. That just means we have the freedom to define our own purpose in life.
