I love this site. I really do. Yer all really funny and insightful, and the grow logs are the BEST. But this will be a campsite for when it's dry. And your mad about it being dry. That's what I call the Jones.

    Whose got em?

I been without for months. Oh sure, I catch a buzz, here and there. I could probably smoke Thyme and get the same effect as this dirt we get here. Where does this shit come from???

As a result I'm into full Dep swing. That's depression, and sleep deprivation, brought on by Herbal deprivation. I gotta sleep phase disorder. Melatonin doesn't even help anymore. Once I took four valium, don't know what weight. I got drowsy for fifteen minutes. At least when I smoke herb I can fall asleep by 2 a.m.

So this thread is about the Jones. Experiences, coping techniques, or you can just scream at the top of your lungs. Go ahead. I'll be here for a while. I'm listening.

Some of you may say that Herb isn't addictive. Some say it is, but not chemically. But most of you couldn't care, because you take proper care. I'm working on that one, just waiting to get HPS. Whatever. Anyone wanna talk about it?

I mean, I'd love to show off the snowy nugs and laugh and tell jokes, but I got nothing. Nowhere. Nihil. Zilch. Had a dream the other day, watching TV in a bar rolling joints for people. The war was over. Then I had to wake up to my own ineffectualnessessness. I'll never understand that "amotivational syndrome" shit. Hey speaking of war, wouldn't it be an act of war everytime you toke up?

Yeah... don't even reply if your high. Unless you got something really brilliant to say, or a really clever insult. I won't freak out if someone wants to flame me for being such a downer.

My geuss is that noone will answer, because your all high right now and really well adjusted. That's okay too. Like I said, I'll be here a while.

I mean gawddam, even if I found a job, I would have to buy dirt for $25 1/8 or mids for $60. Oh sure, they call it KB. It's just flushed well, fluffy and fresh. The price takes the Kind right out of it.

Lets hear yer bitch. I could go on for hours, myself. I wanna relate, that's all.

    Whose got the Jones,
    Runnin through their bones?

I was gonna be a jackass about it.. but I'm too high to be mean right now.

Seriously though man, you should consider your time spent sober a period of recovery, ya know? Flow with it man, life certainly has its highs and lows, but don't let nothing get to ya like that. Especially not a mind altering substance.. if you think your mental wellbeing is not at its best right now, wouldn't you think altering it would potentiate the problem later? I know weed is a wonderful plant with many healing abilities, but it's not worth having a depression over the lack of it. But that's just what I believe..

I recommend you learn meditating, it makes you feel so good! I've had times myself where I was deprived of weed, and I usually just went with that. When I decide to take a break supported by motivation, I usually don't need to, because the need for alteration is absent.

Also make sure you eat right and do some exercise during the day to tire your body out so it can finally rest. Some extra vitamins never hurt if you think you could use more. There's also this substance called 5-HTP (L-tryptophan), a precursor to serotonin which is actually used as both sleep and depression aids. If you think your brain needs more serotonian energy flowing..

I do feel your pain though brother.
Where do you live mon ?

I live in iowa, thanks dude. But the depression/DSPS came before the weed. Thats the stick, the good medicine is illegal. Thus, when forced to comprehend a world where such a travesty is government policy, it becomes a vicious cycle. And I do meditate, though not inwardly, I try to focus on things like, "why is it a bad idea to set that police cruiser on fire", and "why is it possibly wrong to set that new hog confinement ablaze".

It's hard to cut off thoughts at their roots when you alternate between two states of mind: exhausted but unable sleep and bouncing off the walls unable to hold a single thought for a minute. In between that, for me, is THC. I'm not even a heavy smoker, just daily (as allowed). In other words, I don't smoke to get all loopy, I do it to calm the fuck down, without the anal leakage and all that accompanies those creepy synthetics.

But since what you said was brilliant, I'm gonna have to take it to heart. I got some babies in the basement, so I got hope. I'll give the tattwas a go, maybe a middle pillar exercise, just the very next time I've had eight consecutive hours of sleep. These types of things were commonplace not very long ago for me...when kryps were plentiful and my friends were around.

I am placing the Jewel into the Lotus...DAnnyboy you should tell more of your meditation practices as a legal high...and THANK YOU for being

Damn if you lived in my state we could have worked something out.. (bad experiences with shipping to other states, heh).
Well anyhow, as for our government, I agree that there are many flaws in the system and things just aren't working for the best for people sometimes. Although it is something we all have to live with.. acceptance is the first step to liberation. I hope your babies do well, provide them with love!
You definitely want to rest up a little bit before picking up meditation, but here's a few links to help you out understanding the basics of it. It is a powerful ability and I think everyone should practice it. Especially if you're a used smoker.. the effects can be very similar sometimes.

    Much luck to ya mate.

    *cough*cough*

Hey thanks Buddy, my friend, that shit's pretty good!

I'm double dosing melatonin tonight. And quitting espresso. I figure the withdrawals from that should be a trip in itself. reading "The Natural Mind" by Andrew Weil. He says the urge to altered consciousness is inherent to humans, like when kids twirl around to get dizzy.

I really did catcha buzz from Buddys post.
