High Pressure SodiumThat"ll work. But I'd grab a 600 watt, aint much difference in price and you will get some huge buds. If you went with a digi ballast it would use just about the same amount of juice as a 400 watter with standard ballast. Remember the goal is 50 watts per sq. ft. to grow em the size of your forearm:rasta:

Just 'member, with HID lighting comes heat, and lots of it. Make sure ya got a plan to deal with it so you dont cook yer plants to medium well.

High Pressure SodiumDesktop vents will not be sufficient for a cab with a 400 lamp. You will need to get decent ventilation, best more than 400m3/h - and I strongly suggest a carbon filter.

I am running a 410m3 vent with a 500m3 carbon filkter, a 400W lamp, all in a 3'x2'x6' cab - and I am having difficulties with the temperature. Meaning I will have to increase the passive intake....
