Roll with Tonya for compassion October 19-23, 2006

Hello everyone! My name is Tonya Davis and I am a medical cannabis patient advocate /activist and speaker

We are about to shake up Ohio.

"Roll with Tonya 2006" I will be starting this tour in Cincinnati and ending up in Columbus , Ohio 5 days later.

We will be stopping in every town along the way. educating and gathering signatures of all registered voters along the way who want this drug war on medical cannabis patients TO STOP and who agree, that there needs to be a protection on the books to give us the right to use medical defense if ever needed God forbid.. A good example would be Randy Brush who is now inamate 502945. Mr Brush in (Wellsville, Ohio) grew 4 cannabis plants on his roof for his medical use. Did NOT have a criminal record prior, Got sentenced to 3 years incarciation , 5,000.00 fine and 3 years probation afterwards. This happened because a Judge in Columbia County has the personal goal of sentencing ONE MILLION MAN YEARS before he retires. plus the fact that medical cannabis is not legal in Ohio. Randy was not allowed to use the medical defense.
Randy is a father and one of his sons was just in DC participating in the National spelling bee.
I ask ya.... Is this doing anyone any good? Randys kids need him and he wants to be a dad to them. They let out rapist's and child molesters sooner.

A HUGE majority of Ohioans , support a doctor prescribing cannabis as a medicine and definitely do not believe a doctor should go to jail for recommending such a treatment. This goes for the patient it was recommended for also.

Very few Law makers are brave enough to openly say how they feel about this issue. I have been told and I quote " It would be political sucide "

1. WONPR.org (womens organization for national prohibition reform) The president of this group will be speaking in Dayton Ohio and also Columbus at the statehouse steps .She with her supporters will also participate in this event to Columbus.

2. North Ohio NORML.... Will be participating in event and is spreading the word... NONORML are one of the sponsors of this event.

3. L.E.A.P (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition) these folks are amazing to hear speak... I am working with them to hopefully get a speaker for Columbus Ohio and Dayton.. They are however donating T shirts and lots of information to be distributed along the way...

4. AAMC American Alliance for Medical Cannabis (letfreedomsgrow.org) The WVa State Director of the AAMC will be joining the event in Dayton Ohio as a speaker and a participant . She will be with us the rest of the trip to Columbus.

5. Patients out of time has given a written endorsement for "Roll with Tonya 2006"

6. Hemp Rock wiill be participating and assisting in media relations /PR in southern Ohio

7. Patients and supporters are signing up everyday

8,. MMJActionNetwork.com has members who are donating T-shirts for the trip with "I rolled with Tonya 2006" on the front and the sponsors, participants names on the back.. Another member has donated hand made beaded necklaces to give with donation for Randy Brush defense fund.

9) Ohio NOW is placing the event in their statewide newsletter.that goes out to 3,000 members statewide. I will be speaking this weekend at one of their meetings gathering speakers for the event..

10) Ken Locke the bike rider who went across country to stop the war on very sick patients ( Journey for justice 7) will be joining us on this event and also will be a speaker .

11) GOP4CA (Republicas for Compassionate access) Regional Director Rob Ryan will be joining us and speaking in Dayton and Columbus

12) A documentary producer and camera crew will be filming this event for a Medicnal Madness documentary .

With out you all this wouldn't be happening so THANK YOU.. Most of you know how very sick I am getting so this will not be a easy journey for me... But its time to take back Ohio.


I think its time to tell our lawmakers that their confused.... They are Public servants not the masters....

I am working on gathering support from other groups and will continue to do so.. I will post them as I get them.

Topics to be addressed

We will be educating on jury nullification and how it gives back the power to the people.

How our constitutional rights are being violated by not allowing me the same treatment and protection as afforded to 5 patients who are allowed to use their medicine anywhere , They receive 300 rolled cannabis joints each and every month and have for the last 20 years
I just want the right to use this medicine in my own home... without fear of arrest and a criminal record....

A Ohio Columbiana County Judge has a personal goal and it is to sentence 1 million man years before he retires... I think everyone needs to hear this so they can protect themselves..

The need for protection for medical cannabis patients who have permission from their doctors to use this herb as a medicine.. The need for protection for doctors who have the courage to recommend this option for their patients..

I will have in my hand new legislation to protect mmj patients by the 19th of October.2006. This will be done so I can gather sponsors and co sponsors

Folks I don't have a criminal record.. I don't buy or sell drugs... I just don't want to become a legal junkie on prescription pain meds Cannabis works for me without the side effects of traditional meds

I am not wanting to get high I am not trying to legalize anything.... I am however trying to give Ohio cannabis patients a legal defense in a court of law if they have permission from their doctor and they have no other charges like distribution or trafficking .. This would give law enforcement , judges the ability to use common sense and compassion.

I am a domestic violence survivor . My ex husband used to beat me pretty bad and because of it....... I suffer from extreme pain from spinal, back injury and damage... I have a crippling, terminal disease which I s a lot like MS.... I also have adhesions wrapped around my bowel and with that have inflamed bowel disease. (double whammy)

All I want is to live what life I have left with dignity. If I get hooked on morphine or drugs like it , I will end up in Nursing home at 43 and will die . At least on Cannabis theorpy I can live on my own.. And have a fighting chance at a few more years..... And most of all control my pain to a manageable level when I can get it......

We will be on the road 5 days and gathering supporters, signatures along the way.. Its time Ohio Law makers step up and protect me and patients like me...as afforded to the other 11 states that recognize cannabis as a medicine

Irv Rosenfeld one of 5 federal patients receiving 24 Years of Government-Sponsored Medical Cannabis has agreed to send us a empty federal can that once held 300 rolled cannabis joints that he receives each and every month. We will be auctioning it off to help raise the funds to cover the expenses for this event. Come bid on this piece of history. .. stay tuned.....

We have applied for a permit to finish the event on the statehouse lawn.

Statehouse permit was approved........ They say this is first event of its kind to ever be held there.. especially on the statehouse lawn... Also I may add that I spoke with the senators office whos handling the drawing up new legislation for us here . says I will have it in my hand before the event.....and I will have a huge part in what goes in it...... wow Gods driving this ship better than I could ever do... I am so excited..
