Lighting
I'd recommend 4 27W DAYLIGHT flourscent lights from Philips. They're just as cheap as if you were to buy it at Walmart and provide light in a decent spectrum. 42W bulbs are usually 'warm' within the 3000k range. Therefore, there only good for flowering.
The cost per month of a 27W bulb is $2.50 used 18/7, so you won't raise any eyebrows. Just a tip, if you ever move into a new house and plan to grow, immediately use a ton of electricity. Run useless appliances and whatnot to raise the bill to a certain level. Then we you begin to grow, turn them off and turn your lights on. No raise in electricity use
Kaparski Reviewed by Kaparski on . Lighting I am planning on growing between 2 to 4 plants and am on a tight budget and not wanting to much of a spike in my power bill. So with that said what floresent bulbs do I need to get. I am under the impression cool white for vegging and the Kitchen and Bath tubes for flowering. I was planning on having serveral above and also down the side of the plants. I know that HPS are ideal but for the first time and lack of cash I want to go with floresent. How many floresents per plant do I need? Rating: 5
