Checkpoints in life?
My 'checkpoint' occurs every birthday. I don't celebrate my birthday. Instead, it's a quiet day for me to reflect on where I am, where I came from, and where I'm headed. This is usually the time where I'll reminisce and become nostalgic about some things in my past. By in large, I use the time to look at the goals that I've achieved, what I fell short on, and what my next steps are going to be.

Checkpoints in life?
Sometimes i'll be sat doing nothing. Yesterday for example, i was sitting in the van on the way to work. I weren't driving so was "doing nothing", suddenly i had what i can only describe as a flashback to a time when i was in junior school.
I had a "Big Time" chocolate bar and lost it. Wesley found it. He said it was on the floor. I thought about eating, it was in the wrapper so i did.
The whole incident must of lasted about 10 seconds if that and i'd totaly forgotten about it. I cant remember ever rembering it before (if that makes sense) and suddenly it was just there playing out in my mind like a film.
Sometimes i think about all the people i went to school with and wonder what they're upto now. Alot of them are probs locked up but the "decent people", who knows?
I'd go on friends reunited.............if i didn't hate the bastards.

that happens to me sometimes, i see a checkpoint more like a certain event that comes up and its kinda like a game to figure out how you are gonna get pass it, and then you either count your losses or reap your rewards whatever the turnout may be

Yea I get that many times whenever I smell something that brings back memories, go somewhere i havnt been in a long time that hasnt changed, sometimes i dream of an event way back that i had forgotten, sometimes memories just pop up out of nowhere especially when im stoned, and music really does that for me. Catamaran by Kyuss always brings so many great memories of my childhood back, I wish I could go back and appreciate it more.
