    ADAQUATE POT SIZE.. ANY INPUTS?

I'm growing indoor, in a small closet (3ft x 2ft x 8ft) with 800 watts of metal halide light. I want to know if the pots that I'm planning to use, which is 1.5 gallon, would be enough so the plants won't have any problems in a pot this size? Also, the plants are so crowd in there, will I need to worry about the lightning not getting to all the plants or will that much light penetrate through?

Right now, I'm potting 6 plants in 3 gal pots but with this pot I'm only able fit 6 plants. But if I plan to use the 1.5 gal pots then I could fit as many as 8 plants. I need some inputs so I don't mess my next grow up with rootbound in the smaller pots or the lightning not getting through to all the plants since the leaves will all be even more crowded and stacking eachother if 8 are planted. They are stacking as of now even with 6 plants so 8 will give it literally no more room. Thanks

It all depends on how long you plan to have the plants alive. I would suggest a 3 gallon at the least, keeps things pretty problem free, smaller than that I wouldn't recommend. But like I said it all depends on how long you plan for them to be alive.

I am growing from clones and not seed. I'm planning to veg (from clone) for about a week then flower until they are ready (6-8 weeks).. Will I have a problem with these pots?

If you are only vegging for a week.. and you have the PH and nutrient levels correct,... 1.5 gallon will be fine..

yea then that should be fine, roots do the majority of the growing in the veg cycle. Best of luck.

I've grown large plants in as little as a 6" clay pot, but when I switched to a #5 pot, the yields really took off ... the pot size is directly related to bud size ... :smokin:

I am using 2 gallons with a 4 week veg and I think that is pushing. I would say you can use the 1.5, but the 2 gals would be a little better if you can get them all in there.
